Valley Leadership Institute (VLI) is an innovative, comprehensive program designed to identify, educate and prepare future public and private sector leaders. Over the course of nine months, a diverse group of carefully selected participants representing private, non-profit and governmental organizations explore contemporary issues vital to the San Fernando Valley and the surrounding region. After an in-depth orientation, participants gather once a month at various venues throughout the San Fernando Valley, the City of Los Angeles and the Port of Los Angeles to explore through dialogue and debate the following topics:
• Education
• Elements of Crime & Justice
• Economic Engines / Arts & Entertainment
• Essential Human Needs
• Politics of the Environment
• Government
• Transportation
• Preparing for the Future
