Laski & Gordon, LLP was established in the beginning of 1983 and is located at 116633 Ventura Boulevard, Ste. 805, Encino, California 91436.
Mort Laski, prior to entering private practice, worked for the Internal Revenue Service for approximately 16 years in various capacities, including being an estate & gift tax attorney and instructor in individual taxation of estates and trusts. In addition, Mort had, for many years, been on the faculty of the graduate tax program at Golden Gate University in Los Angeles and lectured extensively on income tax of estates and trusts. Since being in private practice, Mort has been recognized as an expert in estate planning and trust matters. In addition, his accounting, prior to working for the IRS, and his government experience gives him a unique perspective and ability to develop estate plans tailored for each client’s needs.
Ken Gordon was trained by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax litigator and was their senior trail attorney for more than 7 years. Upon entering private practice, approximately 30 years ago, expanded his litigation expertise to include probate and trust controversy and litigation matters. Unfortunately, situations develop post-death that are difficult to settle among family members and necessitate the assistance of a legal professional to help the parties to reach a settlement without the necessity of litigation. However, in the event that settlement is not possible, Ken has been quite successful in various Probate Courts on behalf of the firm’s clients. The firm’s extensive background in tax allows us to position our clients and shape the case development to achieve the best possible results.
