Since 1963, La Cabaña in Venice, CA has been serving excellent Mexican Food - a genuine taste of Mexico. A señorita pats out thick hand-made tortillas on a brick-layered fireplace and a festive guitar trio takes you back to the pueblos of Mexico.
Soon after opening, the restaurant began making handmade tortillas on the premises. In fact, we were the first Mexican restaurant on the Westside to offer hand-made tortillas with its dishes. We were also one of the first to serve authentic Mexican "platillos" and continue with this tradition. Our Carnitas for example, are prepared in the style found in Michoacan, Mexico while other dishes like our Carne Adobada, are prepared from recipes found in Jalisco Mexico.
Now after many years, La Cabaña has flourished into a landmark Restaurant that is proud of its heritage. La Cabaña has only one location. It is independently owned and is not affiliated with any other restaurant.
Some of the Restaurant's employees have been with us since our first days in business. Our employees are dedicated and know the importance of fast quality service, which has been one of our main goals. Our customers are also valued greatly. Some have been with us since we opened and have seen the transformation from the once small hut to the present day La Cabaña.
There is a colorful patio perfect for large parties where you can wash down chips and salsa with over 18 varieties of Margaritas. In fact, Citysearch.com voted our margarita the Best Margarita in LA!
