Systema Spetsnaz is an organization that has an international presence, teaching Russian combat techniques to the general public. The word ‘Spetsnaz’ refers to a combat method used by the Russian military.
Who can learn Spetsnaz? Spetsnaz is a vast area of specialization. At Systema, we impart two kinds of Spetsnaz techniques, one for individuals interested in learning self-defense techniques, and the other for security guards, police officers, bodyguards and others whose job calls for a knowledge and practice of combat techniques. Individuals, who come to Systema, will be taught our ‘Russian-style’ hand to hand combat techniques, which equip men, women, and even children in practical self defense skills for every day life. On the other hand, the professional version, Systema ‘Spetsnaz’ offers specialized skills in hand-to-hand combat, firearms and other specific areas needed for survival.
Who we are - Systema is owned by Vadim Starov, our President / Founder & Chief Instructor. We are head quartered in Moscow, Russia. Our United States office is located in Los Angeles, California, and Oleg Spector is the USA Rep. /Instructor. Oleg Spector is highly qualified as an instructor. Having begun his formal martial arts training at the age of 12, he competed in the international circuit at 16.
